About CardioPicks
CardioPicks is a small, independent site that helps people in the United States choose a treadmill, walking pad, exercise bike, or rowing machine that actually fits their home and their body.
What we do
Most buying guides rank machines by a single score. We start with the questions that decide whether a machine works at home: Will it clear your ceiling? Does it fit the room with its safety zone? Is it rated well above your weight? Can your outlet power it? How loud is it for the neighbors below?
We answer those with maker spec sheets, owner’s manuals, the ASTM F2115 treadmill standard, CPSC recall notices, and CDC activity guidelines. Our sources are linked at the bottom of every guide, and our free Fit Check shows the math.
What we don’t do
- We don’t claim hands-on lab tests we did not run. If we ever test a machine ourselves, the guide will say so and show it.
- We don’t accept payment for a place in our picks.
- We don’t copy star ratings or reviews from store pages.
How we make money
CardioPicks is reader-supported. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you. That income never decides which machine we pick. Details are in our Affiliate Disclosure.
Who writes our guides
Guides are researched and written by the CardioPicks Team and updated when makers change specs or new recalls are announced. Every guide shows when it was last updated and keeps a log of changes. Read how we review.
A note on health
Our guides compare equipment. They are not medical advice. Talk with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have a heart condition, joint problems, or are pregnant.
